We were contacted by one of our private clients planning a 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory themed party at his residence. We knew the client wanted to represent different scenes in the film so we worked together to create some fantastic new shows, as well as adapting current ones.
As guests entered the house you were greeted by glamorous hostesses, standing beside a lickable wallpaper®️ wall, which was a fantastic idea (matching the inside of the Chocolate Factory).
The specially made bridge led guests over a chocolate river which ran throughout the party, the smell of which overpowered the senses, transporting you into a wonderland filled with chocolate fountains, candy trees and giant marshmallows. Guests were only allowed into the party if they were dressed as Oompa Loompas (which was a funny touch) and our makeup artist was on hand to ensure they looked the real deal!
Our client dressed up as Willy Wonka and really got into the role, we love clients who really enjoy the creativity behind event planning and he truly does take everything to another level.
We had a number of amazing shows to represent different parts of the film. The first show we had was a contortion act in a white catsuit representing a scene with Mike Teevee, performed to one of the most iconic songs from the film Pure Imagination.
We then had a fabulous burlesque act who started her routine in a Giant Egg prop before coming out with glant feathers, representing the golden egg scene.
The favourite act of the night was by far the hilarious "Burlesque Bubblegum Balloon Pop act, representing the scene where Violet Beauregarde blew up like a giant blueberry. Our entertaining performer stripped down to a bikini before getting inside a giant purple balloon, looking just like Violet!
For each show we also had our very own Oompa Loompas incorporated into the routines (like in the scenes of the film), as well as mingling and taking pictures with guests. Our photographer was flown in especially from Austria to capture the wonderful moments from this event, as our client had him for many previous parties and only wanted him.
